A commemorative opening event of the Dunlap Broadside of the Declaration of Independence exhibit at Norway Memorial Library with opening remarks by Liam Riordan, PhD, Professor of History, University of Maine

This event has limited seating; tickets are required and must be picked up in advance at the Norway Memorial Library. They will be available beginning September 15, 2026.

Between July and October of 2026, The Maine Historical Society is touring their Dunlap Broadside of the Declaration of Independence in all of Maine’s 16 counties. The Dunlap Broadside of the Declaration was printed in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776, and sent throughout the Colonies to announce American independence. Only 26 remain.
