Artist Reception for Life’s Wonders on view now through early December 2025

Visitors to the Norway Memorial Library can enjoy an art exhibit in the reference room. “Life’s Wonders” features oil paintings by Brenda Goulet.

Brenda Goulet, a Bridgton native who now lives in Norway, began experimenting with sketches and various paint mediums in high school. As adult responsibilities took over much of her time, she was able to paint or draw occasionally, but never pursued it further. She has never had formal training, but has always enjoyed whatever time she could eke out to pursue her hobby. She watched a Bob Ross video and learned tips along the way. Upon retiring a few years ago, she was determined to make more time for painting. Oils seem to be her preferred medium, and it has been a rewarding and learning experience.

This display is on view whenever the library is open through early December. Visitors may enjoy an opening artist reception on Wednesday, October 15, 5:30-6:30 pm. Norway Memorial Library is located at 258 Main Street, Norway, Maine.
