If You Can See the Dark with Mattie Rose Templeton

Mattie is an artist living in western Maine. Come early, bring a blanket and a picnic supper to enjoy in the garden. At 6:00, Mattie will read If You Can See the Dark, a book she illustrated, and then help us do a pen and ink activity while the sun goes down and the sky darkens.

Check out all the outside reading and game activities this summer also at McLaughlin Garden, located at 97 Main Street, South Paris:

Picture of cute animal character that is one of the mascots for the Summer Reading Program, along the dates of Thursdays in July and August where families can join in fun Games in the Garden, with descriptions of each event, and a box around one special event on August 7 where families will get to meet local artist and illustrator Maggie Templeton Rose and talk and participate in an activity she will lead that highlights the importance of dark skies to our ecosystems.
