Maggie’s stutter makes school hard. She’ll do almost anything to avoid calling attention to herself. When she visits her grandfather in  Wildoak Forest, she encounters a snow leopard cub; an exotic gift too wild to domesticate. Maggie realizes that time is running out, for the leopard, herself and the forest. Wildoak explores the connections of the human, animal, and natural worlds.

This year’s summer reading goal for all participants is to read at least 20 minutes a day. Track those 20 minutes and check in at the library each week. Bring your reading record, earn a badge to add to your lanyard, and earn free books along the way.
