Maine State Museum Listening Tour Comes to Norway

Maine State Museum is reaching out to communities statewide to learn what they care about and what they would like to see in the museum. These conversations will collect input to find the stories and broader themes that resonate with and reflect the many voices, interests, and identities of the people of Maine.
Participants’ responses will inform ongoing work. They may inspire exhibits, student activities, public programs, and what kinds of things the museum collects to share with future generations. There is a particular focus on the
development of the new exhibit that will welcome all visitors as they step inside the museum.
No prior knowledge or experience with the museum is necessary. The museum wants to know what people living in Maine today think matters. After all, what has happened in your life is part of Maine’s history.
